This is the base of the light in the boys room. Let me rephrase that. This is the base of the light in Max's room AFTER he fell off his bed and smacked his head on it. It's metal. It's cheap metal, but it's metal. Ouch! He was reaching to turn his light on (for the 16th time) and missed the entire wall. On a good note, he slept over 10 hours that night!
We've been finding Max like this a lot lately. Yes, he HAS to have his helmet on. It's not usually buckled and it's usually on backwards. But the "Ah-Thomaaaas heaw-met" is a favorite. (If you click on the picture you can see the bruise from the fall a few days earlier, above his left eye).
Alex's baby things are also a favorite. Max is determined to find a way to fit himself into any baby seat/chair, car seat, wrapped in any blanket, climbing into the crib, etc.
We are all looking forward to the time when Alex is big enough that they can really play together. Max still gives him hugs and kisses all the time. He says good night to him and that he loves him, ( "I wovel uuu, bee ache" translation: I love you Baby Alex). I hope it stays that way.
Adding that Max just came to me banging his helmet into my leg saying, "Mommy peeze fix bike riiiide." After the third time and me trying to figure out what to fix I asked him if he wanted me to take his helmet off. There was a huge nod and a big sigh of relief after it was removed. Too cute.
